Job Description:

As Assistant Store Manager you support the Team Leader in the execution of daily operational tasks, including but not limited to cost-effectiveness, budget management, procurement, merchandising, employee management, compliance with regulations, and ad-hoc projects. Additionally, responsible for the development of team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs and upkeeps innovative store designs and product display techniques.
  • Collaborates with the Team Leader to meet targets for sales, procuring goods, and managing labor costs.
  • Collaborates with the Team Leader to examine sales, labor, and reports.
  • Displays extensive familiarity with product details and remains updated on newly released items.
  • Builds and sustains strong connections with suppliers, initiates new vendor partnerships, and ensures efficient paperwork completion for vendor processing.
  • Collaborates with the Team Leader to find resolutions for any team concerns or issues.
  • Assumes the role of point person and departmental head when the Team Leader is unavailable.
  • Demonstrates top-notch retail execution standards and strives to exceed them.
  • Creates a supportive atmosphere of exceptional camaraderie, mutual admiration, and a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding and effective communication of the WFM vision and objectives.
  • Keeps track of the customers' movement and requirements and guides the staff when needed to meet or exceed their expectations; attends to customers' queries and requests without delay.
  • The process of choosing, coaching, nurturing, inspiring, and advising staff members is crucial to maintaining an effective and stable team while preventing frequent departures.
